Introduction to Meditation

Meditation had existed in this world more than 5000 years ago. However, the evolution of the meditative state in human being does not develop as fast as the creation of science.
Thanks to Einstein quantum mechanics of E = mc2, we, as a human being has shed some light in our inner-self. Finally energy is seen in every object.

Chinese believe that all things in this world are classified into 5 elements: water, wood, metal, fire, earth. These elements are widely used as basic elements in fengshui study today. Then came the discovery of the 108 elements follow another 5 elements discovered in the 90s, follow by another huge breakthrough that all elements are made up of atoms. All atoms is then break into electrons which are energies.

Today, science had proven that all things are made of energy. However, to convince human being that we are also made out of energy, nobody will and would like to believe.  The formula is very simple, all the things that we are seeing is part of the universe. So, are we really different from the existence of all these objects, stones, plants or even animals?

In fact, the only difference is that human being is able to experience is consciousness, awareness or widely called as mindfulness. Science has moved us this far but human consciousness is still at the same as what happen thousand years ago.

Well, turn on to the famous news channel in the television, the news that you heard 10 or 20 years ago are the same. Someone get killed, someone get rob, the politician has raised to a higher position, the previous president is accused of law breaking. Nothing change, probably the only changes is the one who may get killed by knife 20 years ago, today someone is killed by bombs and the story is happening to a different person. The same stories keep repeating themselves; just the actors/ actress or the tools use is different. If you can just willingly to step one step back and take a look at all these. The story is happening over and over again.

It is very sad to see that the whole society does not improve much from thousand years ago. In fact, it is not possible to change the society but changing oneself is definitely possible. Get more meditative! Then you will see that we are living in a place that can be made more wonderful.

Though, before going into meditation or before choosing your meditation techniques as a mindful being, understanding the reason of meditation is the main foundation of meditation.
