In the recent years, meditation has been accepted as one of the tools in therapy for stressful and tension community. Meditation has transformed into relaxation techniques helping people to overcome their daily stress and problems. No matter if you are living in the east or west, Om meditation and Yoga meditation are no longer strangers in many countries.
If you are living in the east, you may have heard these few quotes from either your parents or your great grand-parents, “this is the way of life”; “this is how we have endured for the whole life”; “this is part of the life journey”. Life or life journey is always part of the advices the older generation gives to the younger ones.
In you are staying in the west, when hit with a problem, you tend to resolve problems quickly; finding solutions; finding answers. This is why meditation has become one of the relaxation techniques and eventually combined with the research in alpha and beta waves study that can be commonly read in both newspapers and magazines.
There is nothing wrong with both concepts. It depends on the individual or how far do ones really want to go in meditation? It is alright to use these techniques for relaxation as well as life journey. Meditation as a life journey is an understanding of life. The journey cannot begin unless ones has realized, understand and experience the state of “no matter how much you have achieved you are just running in a circle”.
Are you ready to live a meditation life, without any ego, any self and nothingness? If you practice meditation as a life journey then you have to leave your ego in order to achieve the state of egoless or more commonly known as mindfulness. I am not saying to leave your family members and goes deep into mountain for meditation. Meditation is just a vehicle for you to experience and understand the way of life. With this life journey you will then achieve nothingness, egoless and the meaning of life.
